a new job a new lifestyle - i'm loving it!

gone are the days where i run around like a chicken with my head cut off, days where i'm so exhausted that i fall asleep on justin at beer night by 10pm, days where i can tell you which one is my favourite airport rather than my favourite city... that's because I'VE QUIT IKEA!

those of you who know me are probably thinking "what?!! I thought you were a lifer!" and up until 4 weeks ago, so did I. I still miss the pace and the people a lot but I've decided that I want to build a career in Vancouver and if I continue on with IKEA, my next step requires me to move.

the last days at IKEA were sad...there was a lot of crying but then again i am a bit of a basketcase... the people are truely awesome there and I was lucky enough to have worked with so many of them from all over the world. i got emails from people who i haven't see since Sweden last summer so i'm feeling pretty blessed to have worked for this company.

the new job is fantastic - i'm now the new International Programs Coordinator for SFU's faculty of Business. It's what I've always loved doing - working with students who are going on exchange, coming in from other countries and developing field schools. It's like AIESEC work all over again (nevermind that my office is actually on the flip side of the AIESEC office...)

so now i've actually got the time to keep up with my resolution of "playing more" - i've started going back to dance classes, i went for runs on the weekend and went to a power yoga and pilates class. last weekend, we did Michelle's "Amazing Race: Easter Edition" and the weekend before, we drove alongside cheering Justin on while he did his 1st 1/2 marathon in Sechelt. I'm loving the time I have to spend with my friends and more than that, I'm loving the time in the sun!
